I have the 2015 and 2018 and it is High Performance in comparison to my old and aging Suzuki GSXR 600, 750, and 1000. Yes, I had at least 2 of each of the GSXR’s for racing and street fun. So this is High Performance add on features of the BMW product line.
Updated 06-06-2019. I just purchased the new released BMW S1000RR model year 2020 for the USA. I now have the BMWAG engineering ECU programming that releases the 2nd and 3rd gear reduction issues. See the upper menu for the 2020 modification page>
I do the BMW RCK2 / RCK3 enables, and along with this enable is HP Power Kit. BMW did not promote these enables very well because it voids the warranty on a S1000RR or even the S1000R if it is still in that 3 years / 36000 miles warranty period.
Can you enjoy RCK3 / HP Power Kit ECU enables if you are just a street rider? The simple answer is YES ! It is high performance enables of the ECU. There are 25 additional tables opened up in the ECU with various specification tables that allow alot of tuning to the electronics. This is for the guy wanting to learn to use a laptop, and interface to the S1000RR ECU, or even I can set it all up for you on my bench. The system is 100% plug in and start engine.
This cluster configuration sheet allows you to adjust your level of performance. USER mode for the 17-19 has more features to set than the 15/16.
I do all keys lost reprogramming for any BMW Motorcycle 05-19. Most of my customers are buyers of salvage yard / auction purchases which the keys or the ECU was stolen / removed in some situation. I can get this bike running again at a very reduced cost than ordering this stuff from a BMW dealer. The ECU is married to the cluster, it is married to the EWS4 module in the ignition switch.
